Atlas Après Sinistre Inc. (“we”, “our”, “us”, “Atlas Après Sinistre Inc.”) is committed to protecting personal information. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website, quote enquiries and the property photographs described below. Personal information includes details that identify someone directly or when combined with other information.
Information you provide
Atlas Après Sinistre Inc. collects your name, phone number, email address, city, requested service and description through its quote form. Photos are optional. We use these details to understand the damage, assess the work required and respond to your request. You may contact us by phone instead. Without sufficient contact and job details, we may be unable to assess or respond to your request.
Quote photos
Photos submitted through the quote form are used to understand and assess the proposed job and respond to your request. They are not used for marketing or added to our public gallery. Please avoid including people, personal documents or unrelated private information.
Job-site photos
Photos we take of the property and damaged materials are used to document our work. With separate client authorization, selected photos may also appear on our website or social media. Declining promotional use does not affect our services. Submitting a quote request does not authorize promotional use of photos.
Access to information
Access is limited to authorized personnel who need the information to handle quote requests and customer service, and service providers as needed to provide website hosting and email services.
Hosting and email
Our website is hosted by Hostinger in the United States. Quote requests and attachments are delivered and stored through Microsoft 365. Information may therefore be processed outside Québec. These providers process information as needed to host the website and deliver, store and protect email.
Technical information
Submitted photos are resized and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata, including GPS data. Uploads are processed temporarily on the website server. A session cookie protects the form. Hashed IP identifiers and timestamps help limit abusive submissions; entries older than one hour are removed on subsequent submissions. Hosting providers may also maintain technical logs and backups. We have not added advertising or analytics trackers to this website.
Retention
We retain quote requests and photos only as long as necessary to assess the request, provide the requested services and meet applicable legal obligations. Information is securely deleted when no longer required. Retention depends on the purpose and any applicable legal requirements; there is no single retention period for all records. Technical logs and backup copies are subject to the service providers’ applicable retention and deletion cycles.
Privacy requests
Atlas Après Sinistre Inc. handles privacy requests through info@atlasapressinistre.ca or 514-358-9457. You may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about withdrawing consent, or submit a privacy complaint. Please describe your request without sending unnecessary sensitive documents. We may need to verify your identity. Withdrawal of consent applies subject to applicable legal requirements and may affect services that require the information.
Your choices and consent
The quote form asks for consent to use the information to respond to the request. Sending a request does not subscribe you to promotional emails or text messages. Any new use requiring consent will be explained separately before that use. Browsing the website does not give us blanket permission to use your information for unrelated purposes.
Cookies and browsing information
The quote form uses a necessary session cookie for security. Hostinger may process connection information, including IP addresses, requested pages and request times, to operate and protect the site. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking the form’s session cookie may prevent submission. You can still call us. Our social links are ordinary links, not embedded social feeds.
Security
The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. Form submissions include server-side validation, upload checks and controls against automated abuse. Email access is restricted to authorized personnel. These safeguards reduce risk, but no website or email service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send payment-card details, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information through the quote form.
Sharing and external websites
Website and email providers receive the information needed to perform the services described in this policy. Other disclosure may occur where legally required or authorized. Clicking Instagram or Facebook opens a separate service governed by that platform’s privacy practices. Information you choose to post publicly on those services may be visible to others.
How to make a privacy request
Email our privacy contact with the subject “Privacy request”, explain what you would like us to review and provide a way to reach you. Atlas Après Sinistre Inc. reviews the request, may ask for information needed to verify identity or clarify the issue, and responds within the applicable legal timeframe. Where applicable, you may also request a portable copy of computerized personal information you provided or ask for publication to cease or identifying links to be deindexed. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. You may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec about available remedies at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The effective date and latest update date appear above.
Managing this site’s storage
Local storage “atlas-consent-v1” records your choice, notice version and decision date for 180 days in this browser. It is not sent to an analytics service. The first-party “atlas_quote” session cookie protects form submission and expires with the browser session. No optional analytics or advertising tools are installed. Accepting, rejecting or saving preferences retains only these necessary functions. Use “Manage cookies” to review your choice. Withdrawing optional consent does not disable the necessary form session. Clearing browser storage makes the notice appear again.
